  4. DScaler looks for "msvcrtd.dll" after installing the filters.  What should I do?

"msvcrtd.dll" is a Microsoft Visual C++ runtime library that DScaler uses.  This .dll is installed on your PC when you install a number of applications that use it, but sometimes some machines may not have this file.  You may download it under Download page and place in your Windows system folder (e.g. C:\windows\system32 for Windows XP), then start up DScaler again.

Another place to find the information about this library.
You may fill in the file name field with "msvcrtd.dll" and then click "Submit".

  5. Is there any SDI switch available if I have multiple SDI devices?

The SDI Capture Card has only one SDI input. If you have multiple SDI sources, you may use a 75ohm antenna switch to switch between different SDI sources. These switches are very inexpensive in the local electronic stores.

  6. Will the picture quality be improved if my projector does not have DVI input?

Sure. Full digital path is only one of the advantages of the SDI/PDI solution. Other advantages such as hardware MPEG decoding, high performance deinterlacing and pixel perfect scaling will help improve the picture quality in most of the situations. Of course, displays with DVI input are highly recommended in order to exploit the full potential of the SDI/PDI solution.
