    Plasma Enhancer® is an additional range of video processor/scaler that Pixel Magic Systems developed and designed to enhance the video quality of Plasma TVs, LCD TVs, Projectors ad RPTVs.

  2. What is the difference between Plasma Enhancer® and Plasma Enhancer® Pro?

    The basic elements that the Plasma Enhancer® offers are DCDi™, Philips high quality analog tuner, Off-Air-Noise-Terminator™, and TrueLife™. Whereas the Plasma Enhancer™ Pro provides additional features include SDI-inputs, Pixel Magic System™, user-customisable output resolution and HDTV analog input.

    The SDI input is an established standard that has been used by the professional broadcast industry, since the technology allows zero picture quality loss when video is transported from SDI-equipped DVD player or set-top-box to Plasma Enhancer™.

    Pixel Magic System™, developed by Pixel Magic Systems Ltd., is a set of tools for users to configure the video output of Plasma Enhancer™, to map to digital output devices in Pixel Perfect mode/1:1 pixel mapping.

    Plasma Enhancer® has the following inputs:-

    - AV1: 1 S-video, 1 composite plus 1 component (configurable as RGBs) with 1 stereo audio

    - AV2: 1 S-video with 1 stereo audio

    - AV3 on front panel: 1 S-video, 1 composite and 1 stereo audio

    Plasma Enhancer® Pro has the following inputs:-

    - 1 Serial Digital Interface (SDI) input

    - 1 HDTV analog input for passthrough

    - DVI-D (HDCP) input for SDTV processing and HDTV passthrough

    DCDi™ and TrueLife™ technologies are adopted in the Plasma Enhancer® range for video processing. DCDi™ eliminates the jaggedness that conventional up-converters causes to diagonal edges in video. TrueLife™ brings out details in the picture and produces a more life-like image.

    Digital - DVI

    The DVI (Digital Video Interface) provides the best quality video output. If you are connecting to a display device that has a DVI terminal, this is the recommended option to use. This allows direct transmission of the video information from Crystalio to the display without any conversion from digital to analogue signals.
