Sigma Designs REALmagic Xcard is already widely used with media servers. It's hardware decoding of DVD-Video, DivX? video, and Superbit?DVD movies, plus VideoCD (SVCD), VideoCD (VCD) and MPEG-4, MPEG-2 and MPEG-1 files makes it unique.

Previously all it's outputs were Analogue, but now you can gain access to the digital stream exactly as it comes off the decoder thanks to our new SDI Xcard Converter.

Store all your media on a back-room PC including music files and have all the benefits of an external video processor/scaler like Crystalio in your viewing room to make the most of your home theater screen.

How does it work?
The Xcard SDI output module connects to the Xcard’s internal digital video (cable provided), it also connects to a spare power source inside your PC (cable provided) and then converts it to either a 480i (NTSC) or 576i (PAL) SDI stream.

Then use a high quality BNC to BNC 75ohm cable to connect your external video processor using standard SDI coaxial cable and you then have all of the capabilities of Xcard, delivered via SDI - amazing!
