This fantastic new addition to the PDI Deluxe really highlights its versatility and power. In addition to the existing range of high quality analogue inputs and its digital input feed from the REALmagic Xcard, PDI Deluxe can now also support Serial Digital Interface (SDI) video from 2 external sources such as DVD players and set-top-boxes with the addition of this daughtercard.

This allows ultimate flexibility, for example you can enjoy the ease of use and simplicity of standalone SDI DVD players. All your video devices can now be connected to PDI Deluxe including: SDI DVD Players and Set-top-boxes, games consoles, DVD Recorders, VCRs, Camcorders and more!

The WDM driver also allows you to record any of the above to your PC's hard drive using nearly all of the leading video capture applications.

Technical Details

The card uses a standard PC expansion bracket for physical mounting in the PC and therefore effectively occupies an expansion slot position, however it is not a PC expansion card and therefore it does not require a PCI slot on the motherboard. Instead, all communication and power requirements for the SDI input module is taken from the standard PDI Deluxe card, using the included ribbon connector.

Note: this is an add-on module for the PDI Deluxe Video Processor - it cannot function as s standalone SDI capture module. If you only require SDI capture then please see the SDI Capture Card.
